College Water Polo Virtual Meet and Greet Event Coming Up!
There is a college water polo Virtual Meet and Greet event over the weekends of January 16th/17th and January 23rd/24th, 2021 with the purpose of connecting high school water polo recruits with college coaches.
The Virtual Meet and Greet will consist of live, group video calls hosted by Division II and Division III coaches. Each participating college coach will conduct their own 30-minute calls. During the calls, coaches will talk about their schools and water polo programs, then take questions from the athletes. The sessions are interactive and a great way for aspiring athletes to get a feel for coaches and schools. The sessions can also be very beneficial for coaches to engage with athletes of interest. Athletes are welcome to attend any – or all – of the video calls.
We received very positive feedback on the benefits of the virtual event held in early August of 2020, and we are excited to do it again. For the upcoming event, we have lined up coaches from nearly 20 separate universities to participate and that number could grow. There is no charge for participation and this event is for athletes whose high school graduation year is 2022 or later.
POLOVOLO will provide the hosting for this event. Polovolo is a digital platform that provides athlete profiling and social networking tools specific to water polo to help keep everyone in your network, including coaches, up to date on your water polo, academic achievements, and other activities. You will have the option to create a profile on Polovolo for the Meet and Greet Event, but it will not be required to participate.

Interested athletes that would like to participate in the Virtual Meet and Greet can pre-register using this Google form. No need to commit to specific calls, pre-registration is just to help us get a read on interest from the athlete community.
