Chicago area hosts needed for 2016 USAWP Junior Olympic Qualification Tournament

In an effort to simplify the coordination and travel requirements for teams & officials participating in Junior Olympics, the Midwest Zone board of directors have approved a new approach for the zone qualifier tournaments:  Starting with Chicago in 2016, all age divisions competing in the JO Qualifier will travel to the same general market or “host market” over the same weekend.  The host market will make every effort to establish qualified competition pools that are as closely situated as possible so coaches, officials & parents can comfortably attend games in multiple age brackets and teams can benefit from simplified travel/hotel coordination.
The host market will rotate each year to another area within the zone.  At this time, the next few years are assigned as follows:
2016: Chicago area (June 10-12)
2017: Michigan
2018: St. Louis area
2019: Ohio
At this time, USAWP would like to start taking bids from clubs in the Chicago area for this summer’s JO Qualifier.  If you have an interest in hosting, please contact Miguel Miguel Figueras via email at [email protected] byFebruary 10th.
