Tony Azevdeo and Kami Craig’s Athletes Clinic/Combine @ Hoffman Estates High School Pool
Feb 24 @ 8:00 am – Feb 25 @ 3:15 pm
NWC and Cardinal Water Polo clubs will bring Tony Azevedo and Kami Craig to Hoffman Estates on February 24 and 25th to run a clinic and combine. This clinic is a great way to kick off the 2018 season!
Here is Tony’s vision for the clinic directly from his website:
“I have created an athlete development system to monitor athlete’s progress over time. The program is standardized in a way that allows me to use specific tools to track development and offer personal feedback. My yearly clinic system has already produced three national teams athletes, six college scholarship athletes and many others playing at top high schools. This system allows me to test athletes, teach them and engage with them directly. I am able to watch them play and provide individualized feedback on performance strengths and weaknesses. By repeating the event every six months (or twice a year) I will be able to re-evaluate the athlete, understand his/her progress and continue working with them to reach key milestones.”
Coaches are free and encouraged to attend; Tony will be working with coaches at the combine. They have requested that we have 9 volunteer coaches per day to record data and then coach a team during the combine portion of the event. If you are interested in to volunteering, please email Marc Popovici at [email protected].

This is the only scholarship of its kind in Illinois and is a great remembrance of our late, great coach, Dave Perry.  The scholarship is for graduating seniors who will be playing NCAA Water Polo the following year in college.  Started in 2012, the scholarship has given out $18,000 to help water polo players continue to play and study at the collegiate level.  Scholarship applications are currently be available.

WSWPC Water Polo Clinic with ODP/Stanford WPC Coach Ashley Hill @ Naperville North High School
May 26 @ 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

This water polo clinic is designed to kick off summer water polo! We will have a 40 min motivational talk from Coach Hill about what it means to THEM (athlete) to be a water polo player. The talk is designed to inspire commitment and renew love of the game. After the talk, the athletes will have 3.5 hours of pool time (with some breaks). They go through a unique warm up, work ball skills and shooting, run counter attack drills and finish up with scrimmages.
